Outdoors Activities
The Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Association will host a four-mile hike, on gentle slopes and easy terrain, over the Tefft Hill Trail in the Arcadia Management Area from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Program assistant Danielle Aube will share her knowledge of the area.
Participants will walk through a forest of tall pines and beech trees past Roaring Brook, a warm-water fish hatchery and an old Civilian Conservation Corps recreation area. They must wear proper footgear and at least 200 square inches of flourescent orange – a hat or vest would be fine. A bottle of water and light snack are recommended. Cost is $5 for members, $10 for non-members. Call (401) 539-9017 with questions or to pre-register and get directions, or e- mail info@wpwa.org.
