Ride is currently president and CEO of Sally Ride Science™, an innovative science content company dedicated to fueling girls' and boys' interests in science, math and technology.
Educator Institute
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 1, Sally Ride Science presents an Educator Institute, "From Astrobiology to Zoology: Igniting Students' Interest in Science Careers," at the Mars Space Flight Facility at ASU. Designed for fifth through eighth grade teachers, the Educator Institute includes hands-on workshops followed by time for teachers to customize lessons and activities for their classrooms. The $30 fee includes a featured talk by Ride, lunch and materials.
Sally Ride Science Festival
In addition, from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on March 1, Sally Ride Science presents a science festival for students, parents and teachers at The Barrett Honors College at ASU. The Sally Ride Science Festival features an inspiring talk by Ride, discovery workshops for students given by local scientists and engineers, and workshops for parents and teachers on ways to support students' interests in science and math.
