Don’t Buy Bigger Shoes, Get a Smaller Footprint!
ALTHOUGH many of us are unaware of how large our carbon footprint is, we all know that it has to be reduced to help the environment. Businesses could make this a reality by making changes, big or small, to the way that their business runs.
Zenith Media recognises that its operations affect the environment and continues to minimise any negative effect its processes may have. It recently won Environmental Company of the Year at the Business Club’s gala dinner and awards ceremony.
Max Moody, managing director of Zenith Media, said: “All of our employees are totally committed to making further improvements to the company’s carbon footprint every year. Some 150 accreditations to quality control 9001, environmental management 1401, health and safety 1801 and Green Dragon level four have made us fully aware of our responsibilities, not just to Zenith Media, but to society as a whole.”
Zenith Media recycles 100% of its recyclable waste and uses accredited companies to collect and manage the waste. It also promotes efficient use of resources such as electricity, gas and water. These resources are then monitored monthly to calculate its CO2 emissions.
Businesses like this, doing so much to help the environment, leave no excuse for other companies not to do the same and reduce their carbon footprint too.
