Castelblanco Law Firm To Announce Lawsuit By Hispanic Cook for Age and Perceived Disability Discrimination Against IHOP at News Conference March 19

A lawsuit will be filed by Ricardo Hernandez, 63, on March 19 against a franchisee of the International House of Pancakes and other named defendants for wrongful termination, age discrimination and perceived disability discrimination, among other complaints. Mr. Hernandez, who was employed as a cook at one of IHOP's restaurants in Orange County for 35 years, was terminated, without notice or explanation, in October 2007. The lawsuit will allege that, in the two to three years following his filing of a complaint against his employer for unlawful wage practices, he was verbally harassed about his eyesight and age, and other management actions ultimately led to his hours being decreased, wages not being properly paid and eventually demotion to the position of busboy before being terminated.
A News Conference to announce the lawsuit will be held on March 19 at 11 a.m. immediately after it is filed at the Law Offices of Eric E. Castelblanco, a Beverly Hills law firm which is representing Mr. Hernandez. Detailed information on the allegations and the lawsuit will be presented.
