ICL Industrial Products to Raise the Price of Fyrol PCF Phosphorus Flame Retardant

BEER-SHEVA, Israel, March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — ICL Industrial Products will increase the price of its phosphorus based flame retardant, Fyrol(R) PCF (tris(2-chloroisopropyl) phosphate) by 15 percent. The price increase will take effect in all territories from April 1, 2008, subject to existing contracts.

ICL Industrial Products manufactures Fyrol(R) PCF flame retardant and provides technical market support for its application in rigid and flexible polyurethane foam applications.

The price increase is necessary due to escalating energy and raw material costs.

ICL-IP Industrial Products is one of ICL’s three operating segments. It produces bromine, magnesia and chlorine from Dead Sea brines, and manufactures and markets a range of compounds, including flame retardants, bromides for industry, agriculture and water treatment, as well as a range of magnesia products and chlorine-based products for numerous uses. Recently ICL-IP acquired Supresta, the industry leader in the manufacture, distribution, and service of organophosphorus flame retardants.
