Forestar Real Estate Group Names Tavia McCuean Vice President, Leading Stewardship and Conservation Initiatives in Georgia
Forestar Real Estate Group Inc. (NYSE:FOR) today announced that Tavia McCuean, former head of The Nature Conservancy in Georgia, has joined Forestar Real Estate Group Inc. as Vice President. In this position, she will lead Forestar’s stewardship and conservation initiatives statewide, as well as assist with community development standards and various government affairs.
Ms. McCuean is the past Executive Director of The Nature Conservancy, where she worked for almost 20 years. Prior to that, she served as the Executive Director of The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, and as a public information officer for the Northwest Florida Water Management District.
Her civic and community activities include Leadership Georgia, where she served as Chairman, and directorships at Junior League of Atlanta, Zoo Atlanta, Georgia Center for Non-profits, Smithgall Wood Foundation, and Sapelo Island Foundation. Ms. McCuean was also an appointee of Governor Miller to the Rivercare Committee and the Forest Land Management Committee.
