BioGenex Laboratories Appoints Dr. Jeffrey S. Ross As Medical Director

SAN RAMON, Calif., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- BioGenex Laboratories, Inc., the inventor of Microwave Antigen Retrieval and pioneer of integrated and industrial-scale, high throughput walkaway automation of IHC testing, announced today the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey S. Ross as Medical Director.
In this role, Dr. Ross will serve as a medical and scientific consultant to BioGenex in the areas of on-slide routine and molecular diagnostic testing. Dr. Ross will also conduct collaborative research at his laboratories at the Albany Medical Center for the discovery and development of new biomarkers for patients with cancer and allied diseases.
Dr. Ross is a graduate of Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio and The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Ross currently serves as the Senior Scientific Fellow for Oncology for Molecular Medicine at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Chairman of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Albany Medical College and the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Dr. Ross has received numerous academic awards, three patents in molecular diagnostics and is the author of more than 470 peer-reviewed scientific articles, research abstracts, 3 textbooks and numerous book chapters in the fields of pathology, molecular diagnostics, oncology and translational cancer research.
