Biodegradable Resin For Extruded Foam

In our February issue, we incorrectly stated in our article on new materials at the K 2007 show that Ecovio L resin from BASF Corp., Florham Park, N.J., was suitable for processing on standard EPS bead foam molding equipment. In fact, Ecovio L, a biodegradable (but petrochemical-based) polyester material, is designed for extrusion on polystyrene foam sheet machinery.
