AMBITIOUS Lindsay Brown dreams of being a forensic expert like stars of the hit TV Show CSI, so she chose to pursue a career in science by enrolling with Forth Valley College.

Lindsay, 23, from Falkirk, is currently studying for an HNC in Applied Sciences, following the successful completion of an Access to Science and Biotechnology course.

Lindsay, who has a five-year-old daughter, decided to change her life and return to education.

She said: "A few years ago, I was feeling bored in my job and wanted more from life. I had always enjoyed science at school and a career in this area seemed like a good option.

"I am really enjoying college so far – the support from my lecturers has been fantastic and the courses are really interesting.

"I hope to complete my HND course next year and then possibly move on to university.

"Ultimately, I would like to become a forensic scientist although I also like the idea of teaching. Luckily, the HNC/D Applied Science course is really flexible, so there are lots of options open to me."
