FMC Corporation Elects Robert C. Pallash to Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA, May 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FMC Corporation announced today that Robert C. Pallash has been elected to the company's board of directors, effective April 22, 2008.

Mr. Pallash, age 56, is president, global customer group and senior vice president of Visteon Corporation , a leading global supplier of automotive systems, modules and components to vehicle manufacturers and aftermarket customers. He joined Visteon in 2001 as vice president, Asia Pacific and was named senior vice president, Asia customer group, in 2005, and assumed his current role in 2008. Prior to joining Visteon, Mr. Pallash served as president of TRW Automotive Japan from 1999 to 2001, and as president, Lucas Varity in Hong Kong from 1995 to 1999. He served in a number of management and international positions with Perkins Engines Limited from 1972 to 1995.

Mr. Pallash earned a B.A. in Business Studies and Languages from the University of Hertfordshire.

With this election, Mr. Pallash becomes the ninth independent director on the FMC Board. William G. Walter, FMC chairman, president and chief executive officer is the sole inside director.
