Bill on Managing Water Resources Endorsed

A ministerial group for political and legislative affairs approved on Monday a draft law on managing water resources. The bill is in line with a national plan for developing and improving management of water resources. It also aims at achieving optimal use of water resources and preserving water quantity and quality. In statements, Minister of State for Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils Mufid Shehab said that after deliberations, the group endorsed a draft law on preserving ancient monuments, which was presented by the Culture Ministry. The group also discussed a bill on establishing the general authority for financial supervision, which was presented by the Investment Ministry, Shehab said.
