General Environmental Management, Inc. Announces the Award of Two Contracts for Remediation in Alaska Valued at $2.5 Million

General Environmental Management, Inc. ("GEM") (OTCBB: GEVI), a leading environmental and waste remediation company announced today that it has been awarded two subcontracts from a joint venture between BC Contractors & Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. (BC-Jacobs) valued at $2.5 million.

The contracts represent both a continuation of work previously performed by GEM EnviroConstruction and a new award for environmental restoration activities in Alaska. GEM is an environmental subcontractor under Jacobs' U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) contract. Under these agreements, GEM will perform on-site labor, transportation, and disposal of petroleum and PCB contaminated soils from projects located in Kodiak.
