Babies’ Bottles

June 3, 2008
Repost This

I would be surprised if anyone is still using plastic bottles for babies, especially after reading an article in the Waikato Times (May 13, “Fears plastic bottles may harm babies”) regarding a range of potentially harmful chemicals that may leach into milk formula, especially in products made overseas under shoddy manufacturing conditions particularly China.

I was wondering if the same was true of plastic shoes, toys, etc.

Why is New Zealand importing these shoddily made products after concerns have been raised?

I think an immediate ban on the importation of plastics containing potentially harmful chemicals is appropriate as Canada has done or is the New Zealand consumer un- important?
