Committed to the Next 100 Years, Washington's Private Forest Landowners Celebrate 100th Anniversary

OLYMPIA, Wash., June 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Washington Forest Protection Association is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2008. The association was established on September 4, 1908 as the Washington Forest Fire Association to help fight forest fires. To celebrate the 100th Anniversary, WFPA is launching a new micro-Web site today highlighting the timber industry in the state, including historical information, photographs, and a look into the future of the industry. We are also announcing a special annual meeting in honor of the anniversary on Thursday, November 20th in Olympia, WA at Indian Summer Golf & Country Club.
