Tornado Relief Funds Being Distributed

Jun. 19–Tornado victims can now get an initial boost to help with their recovery efforts.
The Windsor Community Foundation and the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County have given out an initial distribution of about $73,000 to the victims.
Distributions to victims of the May 22 tornado will be made available this week and applicants will be contacted regarding the status of their application and method of distribution, officials of the two foundations said in a press release.
The funds are available to anyone who experienced damage or loss from the storms and are being made available through the Windsor Community Foundation and the Tribune Crisis Fund at the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County. The two foundations have received more than $310,000 in donations.
The Windsor Community Foundation and the Tribune Crisis Fund are component funds of at the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County. Tax-deductible donations for tornado relief efforts for either of the funds may be sent to the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County, 711 8th Ave., Greeley, CO 80631. Checks should be made payable to the foundation, noting either Windsor tornado relief or Weld tornado relief on the memo line.

Applications for funds from the Windsor Community Foundation or the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County may be downloaded at www.cfsgwc.org and are also available at the Bank of Colorado, 1041 Main St., Windsor or any Bank of Colorado branch in Weld and Larimer counties; the First National Bank, 1505 Main St., Windsor, or any First National Bank in Weld; at Windsor Now, 423 Main St., Windsor; the Greeley Tribune, 501 8th Ave., Greeley or the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County, 711 85th Ave., Greeley. Completed applications may be mailed or dropped off to Windsor Now, the Greeley Tribune or the community foundation.
