Strong earthquake hits sea of Okhotsk
HONG KONG, July 5 (Xinhua) — A strong earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale occurred over sea of Okhotsk at 10:19 Saturday (0219 GMT), according to a bulletin released by the Hong Kong Observatory.
The epicenter was initially determined to be 53.9 degrees north latitude and 153.0 degrees east longitude, about 380 kilometers west- northwest of Petropavlovsk-kamca, Russia.
There were no reports of casualties or damage so far.
