Double Joy for Orton

Andy Orton took double honours in the third match of the Rolls- Royce Alum Foundry AC Match – landing both the top weight and the biggest fish.

Fishing on Barston Lake against 24 opponents, Orton opted for pellet on a method feeder to the island and finished with 32lb 8oz – including a 9lb 6oz common carp.

Kevin Reader also used method feeder and weighed in with 20lb 10oz, while third was Andy Astle with 13lb 15oz.

Orton (13pts) heads the Rolls-Royce competition, followed by Grant Flynn (22). John Chadwick and Glynn Whitby (24) shared third.

MORE than 1,200lb of fish was caught in the latest Coopers Arms AC match, with the top 10 weights above the 70lb mark.

The winner was Andy Dumelow, who caught 115lb 4oz of carp at Boddington Reservoir, while Paul Bull took second with 114lb 8oz.
