Workers Find More Contaminated Soil

Workers cleaning up the last of the contamination at Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Commerce City found a previously undiscovered patch of contaminated land last week. The land does not pose a risk to the public, according to a news release from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Environmental Protection Agency.Crews covered the contaminated area with 6 inches of clean soil.Future contaminated soil will be trucked off-site to a disposal site as part of a waste-disposal management plan currently open for public review.
