London Nightclub Environmentally Friendly
A nightclub in London is trying to help the environment by saving water and spreading the message of environmentally friendly actions, its landlord says.
Property developer Andrew Charalambous said the nightclub Surya aims to allow younger citizens do their part to fight environmental waste and pollution, The Times of London reported Saturday.
The bar comes equipped with special bathrooms that reduce water waste, while solar panels and wind turbines help supply electrical power.
The entertainment venue also relies on organic products for its patrons and offers constant reminders of how an individual can help the global fight against pollution.
Gregory Barker, environmental spokesman for Britain’s Conservative Party, applauded Surya’s attempt to promote environmentally friendly actions.
Politicians can’t solve the problem of climate change alone, he told the Times.
