More Than 105,000 Visitors Visit Sultanate’s Pavilion at Expo 2008
According to Oman News: The turn out for the Sultanate’s pavilion at ‘Water and Sustainable Development’ International Exhibition 2008, hosted by Zaragoza in Spain with participation from 100 countries has been distinguished. 105,000 visitors to the Sultanate’s pavilion during the three weeks after inauguration expressed their satisfaction with the displayed items which represent that Omani environment and cast light on sustainable development of water resources, as well as, highlighting the Sultanate’s tourism potentiality, culture and bio-diversity. The number of visitors is expected to increase during the coming days of the exhibition which extends up to September 14th. The Sultanate’s pavilion uses modern display means to highlight water uses, water resources, irrigation systems and sustainable development of water resources through rationalization of water consumption an enforcing of the regulations that regularize water uses. It is worth mentioning that the Sultanate’s pavilion in Expo was opened on June 14th 2008 by Sheikh Abdullah bin Salim al Rowas, Minister of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources.
