Compost Crew at Roadshow
A TEAM of scientists from Keele University taught hundreds of families on issues of climate change and the importance of home composting at the Science for Sustainability Green Roadshow.
The roadshow has been touring country-wide and made its stop in Lichfield Market Square last week, hosted by Lichfield District Council’s recycling team.
Prof Mark Ormerod, of Keele University, said: “The day was a great way to encourage shoppers and visitors to become more aware of the huge difference our actions can make to our environment.”
Anne Nagle, a home composting advisor from Waste & Resources Action Programme, was also there with advice and guidance about home composting and the different types of discount compost bins residents could buy for their gardens.
Residents can buy compost bins from www.recyclenow.com/ compost or by calling 01543 308000.
