BRIEF: Controlled Burn Blacked Skies Over Franklin County

Jul. 29–A controlled field burn in Franklin County this morning sent a plume of dark gray smoke into the air for several hours.

Franklin County Fire Dist. 3 checked on the agricultural burn about 11:30 a.m., officials said. The agricultural burn occurred at Powerline and Lentz Roads, officials said.
