Aiming for AIMST Scholarships
Posted on: Wednesday, 18 May 2005, 03:00 CDT
GOOD news from the Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology
(AIMST) for SPM school leavers.
The university, a non-profit private university, has introduced
scholarship schemes for SPM school leavers.
These scholarships are offered to students who want to pursue the
Foundation in Business or Foundation in Science (Physical Sciences)
programmes at AIMST.
The scholarship includes tuition and basic fees for one year. The first
100 qualified students will get this award.
Successful students are required to pay RM100 for the application
processing fee.
However, for the scholarship scheme certain terms and conditions apply.
The closing date for the application is on May 24.
Upon completion of the Foundation in Business programme, students can
pursue degree programmes in Business, IT or Computer Science.
Similarly, students who have completed the Foundation in Science
(Physical Sciences) programme, can continue their degree programmes in
Engineering or Materials Technology at AIMST.
All qualified candidates will be chosen by the selection committee of
the university.
All SPM school leavers with a minimum of five credits in the SPM
examination can apply.
AIMST also provides fee waivers for students who pursue the Foundation
in Science (Biological Sciences) programme.
The fee waiver ranges from 10 percent to 70 percent depending on the
SPM results. Students can download the application form at www.
