Environmentalists Host Fundraiser for Brokaw
A pair of local environmentalists plan a fundraiser next week for county commissioner candidate Pam Brokaw.
Val Alexander, a longtime leader of Friends of Clark County, and David McDonald, an attorney for a group that has sought to block gravel mining in the East Fork of the Lewis River, are holding the event at Alexander’s home on Coyote Ridge Road.
Brokaw is the only Democrat in a seven-candidate field seeking to succeed Commissioner Betty Sue Morris in the primary Aug. 19.
Hours of the event are 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. For more information or to RSVP, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 360-263- 2521.
