Fire Destroys Vacant Magna Home
MAGNA — At least one small house was destroyed by fire, as well as a detached garage and parts of two other nearby houses when flames quickly engulfed the area near 2700 South and 8900 West just before noon on Saturday.
High winds from the south elicited a response from multiple agencies, said Unified Fire Authority Capt. Wade Russell. He said the homes were vacant and slated to be demolished soon. The cause of the fire, which is believed to have started in dry grasses near the home, remains under investigation.
