Governors Return to the Capitol

A crew from the state’s General Services division – Stanley Stewart, Keith Stricklen and James DeBolt – spent Wednesday in the Capitol rehanging the portraits of 13 West Virginia governors, including Jay Rockefeller. Page Conservation of Washington, D.C. has wrapped up a two-year project to restore all 30 gubernatorial paintings, which had become discolored.
