Sharp Advice for Keen Gardeners
September 8, 2008
GARDENERS were given the chance to learn how to prune fruit trees thanks to a grant from the National Lottery.
The Allesley Park Walled Garden Group hosted a special workshop to offer expert advice on trimming apple, pear and plum trees. The hands on session is part of a series of events funded by the group’s pounds 5,000 grant from the lottery.
Chairman Geoff Croft said: “Most people who booked came along despite the miserable weather. We got soaked to the skin. It was about giving expert advice on pruning.”
