Idaho Developers Fined for Pollution Violations
The Environmental Protection Agency recently fined developers of the Bella and Rio Vista Estates and South Fork Landing a total of $20,150 for failing to comply with the Clean Water Act. EPA inspectors discovered the violations during routine inspections.
Braman-Lamdin Enterprises LLC was charged $13,000 for failing to adequately prevent erosion and failing to make permanent plans for storm water controls at the Bella and Rio Vista Estates in Owyhee County. SouthFork Landing, Inc. and Warner Construction were fined $7,150 for failing to adequately address erosion and sediment controls and failing to manage water from fire hydrant flushing and dust control discharges, as well as minor self-inspection deficiencies at their development in Garden Valley.
