Power Firm is Giving Trees to Provo Residents

September 8, 2008

PROVO — Provo City Power will give away 600 trees Thursday to promote energy conservation.

Trees can help customers reduce energy consumption and cooling costs because they act as natural air conditioners, reducing heat and reflecting the suns rays. So, Provo will give trees to customers who applied for vouchers in response to the announcement in the city’s August newsletter.

Customers can pick up the trees on the west side of the power plant at 700 N. 300 West, beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
