Two Dead in Colo. Small Plane Crash
Authorities said two people died in a small plane crash in Colorado near the border with Utah.
The Garfield County, Colo., Sheriff’s Office, the Mesa County, Colo., Sheriff’s Office, the Garfield County Coroner’s Office, local fire department rescue crews and search and rescue teams responded to the crash site Sunday and discovered two bodies amidst the wreckage of a single-engine, four-seat Grumman Cheetah, The Salt Lake Tribune reported Monday.
The victims were identified as Charles Landry, 61, of Houston and Steven Bartlett, 50, of Green River, Wyo.
The plane went down northwest of Grand Junction in Garfield County.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
