A RENOWNED artist and ambassador for wildlife is to visit a zoo on the outskirts of Nuneaton.

David Shepherd, one of the world’s most famous wildlife painters, will be visiting Twycross Zoo on Saturday, October 4, to speak to visitors and wildlife enthusiasts.

He became a conservationist in 1960 when, while working in Kenya, he witnessed 255 zebra lying dead around a poisoned water hole.
