Some Thoughts on Cremation
I was interested in the article about cremation in Saturday's Religion section (Sept. 13) and the LDS aversion to it. I was taught, as a Mormon youth, that we will be resurrected in our prime. This, despite the fact that most of our body cells in old age are not the ones we had at age 26, and we have lost a large percentage of our brain cells.
Our "prime" molecules could be scattered around the earth. Cory West said about his cremated mother, "God's going to have a hard time finding all her pieces to put her back together."
"Everyone knows," professor?
