Fix-Up Day Scheduled at Cobscook Center
TRESCOTT – Friends of the Cobscook Community Learning Center are invited to join other volunteers, the staff, and board for a day of trail clearing, painting, and shingling on the CCLC campus from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3.
A crew will be working together on some much-needed campus maintenance. There is a 1-mile stretch of trail that needs to have brush trimmed back and fallen trees removed to make it passable again. The other tasks for that day center on the Community Commons building. There is trim that needs to be painted, and the shingling on the back wall of the building is not fully completed.
All volunteers will be invited to enjoy a lunchtime pizza party.
The CCLC will provide all the tools, though anyone with a favorite hammer or chain saw is welcome to bring them along, and no experience in trail work, painting, or shingling is necessary. For more information, contact the CCLC at: 733-2233 or visit the Web site at: www.thecclc.org
