Iranian Official on Petrochemical Products of Bandar Imam

The head of the board of directors and the managing director of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company [BIPC] has talked about production of more than 503,000 tonnes of various kinds of petrochemical products by this company.

He said: This amount of products was produced during the month of Mordad [22 July to 21 August] which indicates four per cent increase compared to last year.

Adel Nezhadsalim said to IRNA on Sunday [21 September]: Among the affiliates of this company, Faravaresh Bandar Imam Company has had the highest level of production with 384,000 tonnes.

He said that the Faravaresh Bandar Imam Company products include ethane, propane, ethylene, pyrolis benzene, fuel oil, benzene, xylenes, raffinate, heavy aromatics and parazylene.

He added: Besparan Bandar Imam Company has produced more than 38,000 tonnes of heavy polyethylene, light polyethylene and polypropylene, PVC and artificial plastic, butadiene and raffinate.

He also named the products of more than 81,000 tonnes of Kimia Bandar Imam Company as sodium hydroxide, chloridric acid, ethyl dichloride, vinyl chloride, monomer, MTB and sodium hypochlorite.

He said that some of these products are used for downstream industries and some are exported.
