Mayor to ‘Clean Up’ the Capital
Mayor of London Boris Johnson has announced that he and his senior advisers will volunteer to help "clean and green" the capital. Organisations the mayor has unveiled as potential beneficiaries of his help include the Environment Trust, Trees for Cities, Lee Valley Park and the National Trust.
Johnson said: "There is an army of marvellous people who are doing a fantastic job to make our local neighbourhoods and green spaces cleaner and more pleasant.
"I want to see more Londoners getting involved in those organisations helping to make their environment better and it is only right that me and my staff lead by example."
