Grant to Help Girls Connect With Science
The Carnegie Science Center has received $75,000 from Motorola Foundation for the center’s Girls, Math & Science Partnership.
The money will be used to start a “science survival toolkit” in the spring to connect girls to science education and careers.
The partnership has found that girls learn science differently than boys. Girls need to relate science to the broader world and see it as a tool to change the world.
