Nature hike: The Audubon Society of Rhode Island is sponsoring a six-mile hike along the Vin Gormley Trail, through Burlingame Management Area in Charlestown, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Walkers should meet at Kimball Wildlife Refuge, 180 Sanctuary Rd. Fees are $8 for Audubon members, $4 for their children; and, for others, $12 and $6. For information or to register, call 949-5454, ext 3041.
Road rally: SHO will raise funds with an “Autumn Fun Road Rally,” a caravan traveling through southern Rhode Island Sunday.
Beginning at the Narragansett Town Beach’s north lot, on Boston Neck Road, participants will receive maps and direction to five scenic spots, with the final destination the Farmer’s Daughter, on Route 138 in South Kingstown, for activities and prizes.
Registration is $25, and may be made by calling 789-2362 until Friday, or at the beach until noon Sunday.
Bird walks: Phil Budlong leads free 8 a.m. bird walks each Tuesday morning, through December, meeting at the Charlestown Mini- Super, on Route 1A in Charlestown.
