Ocean Protection Plan is Topic Tonight
PLYMOUTH – Want a say about what happens in the state’s coastal waters?
State environmental officials developing an ocean protection plan bring their “listening tour” to Plymouth at 7 tonight at the Plymouth Public Library, 132 South St.
The input-gathering tour hits 18 towns this fall, as officials prepare to draft the plan next summer.
On Wednesday, the tour will be in Norwell for a 7 p.m. meeting at the South Shore Natural Science Center, 48 Jacobs Lane.
Massachusetts this spring became the first state to embark on the creation of a single document to govern wind farms, ocean fisheries, whale watching, environmental conservation and other ocean activities.
