Ahura Scientific Announces New European Partners
FROM SECURITY-ESSEN, HALL #7, STAND #329 -- Ahura Scientific, Inc., a leader in rugged, ultra-compact instruments for chemical identification, announced today it is expanding its presence in Europe with three new distribution partners -- Nucletron Technologies GmbH in Germany and Austria, HazmatLINK in the United Kingdom and Benelux, and RMI in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Ahura Scientific chose to work with these companies based on their demonstrated success in serving their respective European markets. The company's new partners have a strong understanding of the field-deployed chemical identification solutions sought by first responders and security personnel in their markets, which include commercial entities, government agencies and the military. The three distributors offer the company's safety and security solutions -- FirstDefender(R) and TruDefender(TM) FT.
Earlier this month, Ahura Scientific also announced that it has entered new markets in China through the use of its FirstDefender solution during the Summer Olympics and its donation of products following the Sichuan Province earthquake. These activities, coupled with the company's recent exhibition at Analytica in Shanghai, further demonstrate the increasing demand for Ahura Scientific's chemical identification products around the world.
"Chemical threats are a growing problem facing every country in the world, so it's imperative to provide access to solutions for post-incident response and the prevention of potential attacks," said Doug Kahn, chairman and CEO of Ahura Scientific. "We have selected Nucletron, HazmatLINK and RMI based on their ability to provide the kind of high-caliber technical insight and customer support that Ahura Scientific is committed to delivering worldwide."
FirstDefender, the company's flagship Raman instrument, is currently used by state, local, federal and foreign government agencies as well as civilian and military organizations worldwide. It was built to military specifications for ruggedness and provides exceptional accuracy and ease of use. To support Ahura Scientific's global customer base, FirstDefender and all documentation are localized in Chinese, as well as French, German, Japanese and Spanish.
In addition, the company's TruDefender FT, a complementary FTIR instrument, is built for use in a variety of emergency scenarios, including hazardous spills or any situation where unknown substances need to be quickly identified. With its rugged, ergonomic, and user-friendly design and rapid response time, TruDefender FT delivers the critical answers emergency personnel need, where and when they need them.
When used alone, each instrument can rapidly provide the analysis results needed to evaluate and identify unknown substances for safe remediation. When used together, TruDefender FT and FirstDefender can serve as confirmatory techniques and provide a more comprehensive assessment of a given scenario for greater confidence in response.
Ahura Scientific will be exhibiting from Hall #7, Stand #329 at the Security-Essen show, taking place at the Messe Essen Trade Fair Ground in Essen, Germany, from October 7-10. To request a meeting at the show, please contact [email protected]
