No Say on Plan
The plan covering 8000 hectares of land in south-west Christchurch was released on September 3, 2008. So far it has attracted little publicity.
The plan itself came complete with a generous collection of publicity material.
It appears that only two public meetings are to be held, both at the same venue.
There is no time frame as to when this work will be complete.
Following this year’s very wet winter, those people unfortunate enough to be the recipients of all the excess waters directed off developed land into the Cashmere Stream and the Heathcote River have no say on the matter.
This process closes on October 10.
Information leaflets are available at council offices.
