Relief Fund Established for Sky Terrace Mobile Home Park Fire Victims
Early Monday morning, October 13th, the Marek Fire stormed through the Sky Terrace Mobile Home Park, located in Sylmar, CA, near the junction of the 210 and the 118 freeways in the San Fernando Valley area. Residents were given only minutes to evacuate. Fortunately, all residents were evacuated safely.
Unfortunately, the fire, aided by gusts of Santa Ana winds up to 60 miles per hour, destroyed 40 of the 58 mobile homes in the mobile home park. Forty families lost their homes and everything they owned.
A web site has been set up by the park’s property management to support the 58 families affected by this fire. If you would like to make a donation to the Sky Terrace Fire Victim Relief Fund please visit the web site at:
All (100%) of the donations to the Sky Terrace Fire Victim Relief Fund will be distributed to the 58 families who lived in the mobile home park to assist them with their housing and relocation costs, transportation, clothing, meals and all other critical needs while they rebuild their lives.
A number of the Sky Terrace Fire Families lost their cars and trucks. Some of the families did not have insurance. If you would like to donate a vehicle to one of the Sky Terrace fire families please email us at:
