Operations of Coal and Mines Ministry

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted General Manager of the Moroccan Coal and Mines Ministry, Ms. Amina bin Hadhra, who said in early May 2005 that fifteen international oil companies are looking for oil and natural gas in various regions of the country. Total annual investments of these companies comes to MD 500 million. The Ministry budget for 2005 comes to MD 110 million, which is not enough to cover Ministry operations in the field of oil and other mineral exploration.
