Scientists offer new evolution theories

Analyzing a fish/amphibian intermediate species or human beings' genetic code can uncover proof of evolution, scientists said at a Chicago gathering.
Scientist Kenneth Miller, author of Finding Darwin's God,
said at the 175th annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science that evolutionary evidence is apparent in the genetic codes of humans and non-human primates, the Chicago Tribune said Sunday.
Miller theorized that both species share a number of so-called mistakes in their genetic codes, supporting the evolutionary theory that they share a common ancestor.
University of Chicago paleontologist Neil Shubin also offered his unique take on evolution during the ongoing Chicago gathering.
The scientist said understanding the workings of the human body can best be understood by analyzing other species like a fish/amphibian intermediate species, the Tribune reported.
When I look at a human being, what I see is a giant, morphed-up fish,
Shubin said Sunday in opposition to intelligent design claims. Our body is not intelligently designed.
