Some cheese spread and dip are recalled

April 13, 2009

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of all Mrs. Grissom’s- and Grace’s HomeStyle-brand cheese spread and dips due to a labeling error.

Company officials said the Worcestershire sauce used in the products contains undeclared anchovies, posing a health risk to people allergic to fish.

The products were distributed through retail grocery and dollar stores in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and West Virginia.

Consumers with questions regarding the recall can call the company at 800-255-0517.
