Fossil find may be monkey, human ancestor

A University of Michigan professor says the discovery of a 47 million-year-old fossil may be from a primate species related to humans, apes and monkeys.
Michigan paleontology Professor Philip Gingeric, who also serves as the president-elect of the Paleontological Society of the United States, said the newly discovered fossil also supports the adapid theory of evolution, The Wall Street Journal said Monday.
A major ongoing evolutionary debate is focused on whether humans descended from an ape-like group called the tarsidae, the known descendants of the modern Asian primate tarsier, or the adapidae, whose modern descendant is Madagascar's lemur.
Gingeric said the new fossil offers evidence for the latter and traditionally less accepted theory.
This discovery brings a forgotten group into focus as a possible ancestor of higher primates,
Gingeric said of the archeological find.
Gingeric said the fossil, which will go on display next Tuesday at New York City's American Museum of Natural History, is of a young female adapid.
The Journal said the fossilized skeleton of the ancient primate was found near Frankfurt, Germany, in the Messel Shale Pit.

The liberal media is complicit in this. Rather than a free press, the press is bound like a slave to the whims of their ideology of death. (i.e. in evolution, for something to advance, something or someone must die) True science has proven that mankind is not gaining new information and getting better but rather is losing genetic information and degrading. Rather than ascending from a molecule to a man, we are descending from what true humanity was created to be into a horribly decrepit future with limited, finite man at the helm. |

Catts on 05/19/2009, 06:35 These self proclaimed elite racists (i.e. of Darwin's Favoured Races) believe that we, the people, are too hebetudinous (i.e. not evolved enough intellectually) to understand the brute facts, which are never presented. Notice that the first thing in this announcement is a summary of what the elitists want us to believe rather than present the images and data for us to dig through. (Why are the actual fossils not shown? Perhaps they would not support their claim. ) True exploration is one where others are brought alongside rather than indoctrinated with a belief system. Here there is no opportunity to explore and embrace because nothing is shared because there is no thing to share. |
