June 11, 2009
The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service announced a nationwide recall of about 608,188 pounds of Kroger-brand chicken wings due to a labeling error.
The FSIS said the manufacturer, Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. of Mount Pleasant, Texas, said the frozen poultry products might contain undeclared milk, soy and wheat, producing a health risk for people allergic to such ingredients.
