Nanotechnology method folds DNA segments
U.S. nanotechnology scientists say they've developed a technique that allows creation of letters so small that hundreds of thousands could fit into a period.
Brigham Young University researchers led by Professor Adam Woolley said development of the new technology helps overcome a long-standing challenge in nanotechnology.
DNA origami. They said the small, thin structures with square junctions have potential application in forming nanoelectronic devices, addressing the need for narrow, branched features for wiring.
The findings are to appear in the October issue of the journal Nano Letters.
