Vydyne(R) Launches Pre-Color Product Offering

ST. LOUIS, July 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Solutia Inc.'s (BULLETIN BOARD: SOLUQ) Vydyne nylon resin group today announced the launch of a pre-color product offering for its nylon 66 and 66/6 co-polymer engineering thermoplastic resins. This new offering provides manufacturers and designers with more control and options when developing color products.
"Vydyne's pre-color offering provides exact custom color matching -- with batch to batch consistency -- for tight color tolerance applications," said Brad Carmody, Vydyne Market Development Manager. "We can pre-color any of our many polyamide 66 and 66/6 co-polymer products for small, medium, or large sized order quantities."
Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and molders may want to use Vydyne pre-color resins for molded parts in situations where:
-- Component assemblies (e.g., metal next to plastic) require precise color matching; -- Batch to batch consistency is important; -- Color is specified by an industry organization; -- Use of color concentrates has been difficult; or -- Material needs to be delivered in-spec, shifting responsibility to the material supplier.

Pre-colored polyamide 66 resins are used in a many different applications, a few of which include: power tools, lawn and garden appliances, sports and leisure items, and electrical and electronic products.
