TNK-BP Should Coordinate the Construction of an Oil Pipeline From Bulgaria to Greece

TNK-BP (Russia/UK), oil company, should coordinate the construction of an oil pipeline from the port Burgas, Bulgaria, to to port Alexandroupolis, Greece. An agreement about the project was arranged by the representatives of Greece, Bulgaria and Russia in Apr 2005
. The construction of the oil pipeline with a length of about 312 km with a capacity of 35-50 mil/y tonnes should take four years. Costs on the project are estimated at USD 700 mil. The oil pipeline will transport Russian oil. TNK-BP's partners in the project are the power concern Kopelouzos (Greece) and the state oil company Hellenic Petroleum (Greece) for Greece, Technoexportstroj (Bulgaria) for Bugaria and TNK-BP, the oil transport company Transneft (Russia), the oil exploitation company Lukoil (Russia), the state oil firm Rosneft (Russia) and the state gas giant Gazprom (Russia) for Russia.Source: Access Czech Republic Business Bulletin
