Iran's Gas Distribution Capacity to Increase 400 Per Cent: Oil Minister

Esfahan, 26 July: Oil Minister Bijan Namdar-Zanganeh said on Sunday [24 July] that his ministry plans to raise the gas distribution capacity of National Iranian Gas Company by 350 to 400 per cent this year.
Addressing a ceremony marking inauguration of Pol-Kalleh gas pressure station in Esfahan east of Tehran on Sunday, Zanganeh said his ministry has scored a great success in manufacturing compressors, which marks a great upheaval in related industry in Iran.
Zanganeh said establishment of gas pressure stations demonstrates a step towards promotion of national technology.
Pol-Kalleh gas pressure station lies in the vicinity of the 56- inch pipeline and the GS4 station on 6.8 hectares of lands, 1,600 meters above the sea.
The project has cost the country about 55 million dollars to be implemented.
